Aid Box Connections

Alleviating isolation, building friendships and creating communities of support. So far, we have connected over 200 people for friendship. ❤️

This supported 10-week program will introduce you to a new friend. You will be in touch via the phone whilst you build your connection and we will be in regular touch through-out.

When everything is a mess, when you have someone who is positive and is there for you, you know that the world is not full of bad people, there are good people out there who are supportive.

All of our Connection friends have received training on safeguarding and other services available in Bristol that support refugees and asylum seekers may they need to be referred to these. Connections are closely supervised so that we can ensure everyone’s safety.

All contact will be over the phone, WhatsApp, or video call . You will  NOT meet in person until after 5 weeks and both friends agree you are comfortable. At this point, you will have access to FREE vouchers so that you can meet your friend in comfort.

Video calls are good because she is always smiling and that makes me happy seeing her smiling - even when I’m not feeling it.
